Islamabad : Pakistani Prime Minister Mohammedmian Soomro on Monday congratulated the Nation on the successful completion of ‘free, fair and transparent’ elections.
In a statement the Prime Minister said these were historic elections held under most challenging times and the people of Pakistan have proved to the world that they are a responsible Nation, determined to protect their sovereignty and solidarity.
The Prime Minister thanked the foreign and local media as well as observers for playing a positive role in ensuring the transparency as well as credibility of the elections.
While appreciating the efforts and contribution of the Election Commission, the provincial governments, Law Enforcement Agencies, the political parties and the voters for ensuring peaceful atmosphere, the Prime Minister expressed confidence that this environment would continue in times to come.
The Prime Minister expressed the confidence that all the political leaders and their supporters would accept the results with dignity and grace.
