PPP wins 87, PML 66, PML-Q 39, ANP 10 seats

Islamabad : Pakistan People’s Party has emerged as the largest party in 18th February polls with 87 seats, followed by PML (N)-66, PML(Q)-39, ANP-10, MQM-19, MMA-3, PPP (Sherpao)-1 and others-30.

The Election Commission has unofficially announced the results of 255 National Assembly seats. The turnout was 45.67 percent.

The prominent winners are: Asfand Yar Wali, Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao, Makhdoom Amin Fahim, Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Yousuf Raza Gilani, Raja Pervez Ashraf, Makhdoom Javed Hashmi, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Chaudhry Wajat Hussain, Muhammad Hanif Abbasi, Dr Farooq Sattar, Khushbakht Shujaat, Manzoor Hussain Wasan, Tehmina Daulatana, Jehangir Tareen, Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat, Chudhary Ahmed Mukhtar, Chudhary Ahsan Iqbal, Khawaja Saad Rafiq, Mian Manzoor Ahmed Wattoo, Sardar Asif Ahmed Ali, Makhdoom Shahbuddin, Syed Qaim Ali Shah, Akram Khan Durrani and Ghulam Ahmed Bilour.

Chaudhry Pervez Elahi lost from two constituencies, but was elected from Attock constituency. Similarly Maulana Fazalur Rehman who contested from two constituencies lost one and won the other.

According to unofficial results announced so far, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz is leading in the Punjab Assembly with 102 seats followed by the PPPP with 76 seats. PML has got 63 seats, while independents got 35.

PPP is leading in the Sindh Assembly with 67 seats. MQM is the runner up with 38 seats while PML secured 9 seats while PML-F has won 7 seats.

In NWFP, ANP is leading in the provincial assembly with 29 seats followed by PPP Parliamentarian with 17 seats.

Independents have won 17 seats, MMA 9, PML got six seats while PML-N and PPP [Sherapo] secured five seats each.

In Baluchistan , PML(Q) is leading in the provincial assembly results with 17 seats, followed by independents 10.

PPP-7 and BNP [Awami] secured four seats, MMA has six and ANP one.
