Delhi govt. making arrangements for Tablighee Ijtema

New Delhi: All arrangements will be made by the Delhi government for about four lac faithfuls coming here to participate in the 3-day Tablighee Ijtema to be held in Delhi’s historical Idgah from 23rd February.

The government is desirous to see that all arrangements for this congregation are made under the supervision of a government committee will allocated funds as done in the case of Ajmer pilgrims or Haj Committee or Delhi Urs Committee. Minister for Urban Development, Raj Kumar Chauhan said this during his visit to Idgah, situated in Qasabpura.

He made the visit on the instructions of Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit. Accompanied by officials from several government agencies including MCD, Jal Board and BSES the minister inspected the arrangements being made in Idgah for the ijtema. He asked accompanying Police Commissioner to make proper security arrangements for the program. Members of Ijtima management committee, Idgah and Haj Committee as well as a number of local dignitaries were present at the time.
