Speaking at the Experts Assembly session on Sunday, President Ahmadinejad said division among Muslim states had always been the point he questioned from heads of the Persian Gulf littoral states.

Ahmadinejad said that thousands of billion dollars of Muslim states’ foreign exchange reserves are in bank deposits in the West and they use the assets of Muslim nations for their own development and economic progress.

He said that Western states even use the money to create divisions among Muslim states.

He added that if Muslim states’ financial resources are deposited with Islamic Development Bank and used for the development of Muslim states, no Muslim country will be backward. “And we have repeatedly informed Muslim heads of state of this,” he added.

The president said unity and solidarity among Muslim states is a must.

The first step towards unity is setting aside conflicts, he noted.

Elsewhere in his speech, Ahmadinejad said Experts Assembly has a high status and outstanding position in the Islamic Republic establishment.

“EA gets the best, most pious and kindest people together to serve the jurisprudential establishment in such a very crucial position,” he added.
