Gaza : Three Palestinian activists were killed early Thursday morning in an Israeli air raid on Shujaiya district, eastern Gaza City.
According to Palestinian security sources, the Israeli fighter jets fired a number of missiles at activists stationed close to the borders with Israeli, killing three and wounding three, two of whom were said to be in serious condition.
Eziddin Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, said in a statement that three of its activists were killed in the raid on Shujaiya.
Security source also said Israel staged four raids on Shujaiya over the night, as well as another on Khan Younes, southern Gaza Strip, in which a workshop was completely destroyed.
A battery factory in Zaitoun district, Gaza City, was also raided, as well as a marine station by the city’s shores.
Meanwhile, medical sources said Mohammad Al-Burei, a six-month-old infant, passed away just after midnight of the wounds he sustained in an air raid on Gaza City yesterday.
Some 25 Palestinians were wounded in yesterday’s raid on the Interior Ministry and nearby residential buildings.
With the death of the infant, the number of Palestinians killed in Gaza Strip in the past 24 hours stands at 16, according to the medical sources.
