Jamshedpur, Jan 2 (IANS) Shamim Khan and his team won the pro-am event at the year opening Tata Open golf tournament at the Beldih and Golmuri golf courses here Wednesday.
Shamim (33) and his team comprising amateurs B.S. Marwah (37), Anil Kumar (35), Shashi Tiwary (32) and Sunil Prakash (20) shot a total of 137 to win the title.
In second place was the team led by Randhir Singh Ghotra (32). The four amateurs who made up Ghotra’s team were B. Muthuraman (30), Rana Sinha (30), Sanjay Verma (25) and Ravi Parikh (38) shot a total of 130 points.
The Pro-Am event was played in the stableford format wherein each team comprised one professional and four amateurs. The score of the professionals along with the three best amateur cards comprised the team total.
