Turkish security forces seize 60 kg of explosives

Ankara : Turkish security forces confiscated almost 60 kg of explosives in two operations across the country, the semi-official Anatolia news agency reported on Friday.

The report said that the security forces seized almost 50 kg of explosives in an abandoned minibus in eastern Turkish province of Van on Thursday.

In another operation, the security forces seized 10 kg of C-4 and some other explosives in a vehicle in Inegol town of Bursa province in western Turkey, said the report, adding that Turkish police detained one suspected person.

In addition, the security forces also impounded hand grenades and hand-made mines in an operation they staged after the bomb attack in southeastern city of Diyarbakir which killed five people and wounded some 110 others.
