Kabul : A violent blast hit a military vehicle from the International Security Assistance Force in the southern Afghan city of Musa Qala, killing one and wounding 5 British, military sources announced on Monday.
The NATO’s dispatch reported one British soldier from ISAF died and five others were wounded when two vehicles experienced a blast while patrolling southern Afghanistan on January 20.
The people injured were transported to ISAF medical facility in Camp Bastion in Kandahar airport, explained the note.
This soldier death brings to 87 the British soldiers killed in Afghanistan since the Invasion to this Central Asian Islamic nation in 2001.
Great Britain has about 7,800 soldiers in Afghanistan as part of a NATO force of 10,000 soldiers.
