Qaderi said Monday that Iran’s naval fleet was reinstated in the Paris MoU ‘White List’ following efforts of the country’s officials and experts in the Ports and Shipping Organisation who strictly controlled and inspected the ships.

The Paris MoU, which originated in 1982, covers the waters of the European coastal states and North America to Europe. It aims at eliminating the operation of sub-standard ships through a harmonised system of port state control.

The Paris MoU ‘White List’ represents quality flags with a consistently low detention record.
