Kolkata : Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee had an hour-long meeting with Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) veteran Jyoti Basu here Sunday.
Chatterjeee left without speaking to journalists after the meeting at Basu’s residence.
The meeting comes in the backdrop of demands for Chatterjee’s resignation after the Left withdrew support to the Congress-led government on the India-US nuclear deal.
