The ICRC has received requests from Israel and Hezbollah to play a neutral mediator and facilitator for the prisoner swap just as it did before, Jassi Chahin, an ICRC media official said in news remarks Monday.

She said that the prisoner swap would take place on Wednesday on the border between both sides.

Chahin noted that Hezbollah would send two soldiers to Israel, while the latter would send Lebanese prisoner Samir Kantar and four other prisoners captured in the July 2006 war, as well as the remains of Lebanese and Palestinian fighters and corpses of 199 fighters, mostly Palestinians.

Some 11 ICRC trucks and trailers coming from Jordan are reportedly expected to ferry the remains.
