Srinagar, India : At least one security personnel has been killed while more than 12 are reported to have injured in an ongoing encounter in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday.
The gunbattle started at Warpora-Sopore, 60 kms from Srinagar as militants hiding in a house opened fire on the joint search party of police and army, a spokesman said.
A militant was killed and one policeman succumbed to his injuries early Wednesday in the firefight that was going on when last reports were received.
