Ecuador for Enlarged India Ties

New Delhi : Ecuadorian Deputy Foreign Minister Jose Valencia is expected to arrive in India Wednesday to ratify progress in bilateral links and open new areas for cooperation, Ecuadorian ambassador to New Delhi Carlos Abad affirmed on Tuesday.

“We want to ratify the steps forward in our relations, with a commercial exchange that has grown 100 percent and, based on that, enlarge prospects in new fields,” the diplomat told Prensa Latina.

Abad said they look for improved ties in science and technology, renewable energy, credit lines, agriculture, and mining.

As part of his India visit, Valencia will attend the second meeting of the Ecuador-India Political Consultation Mechanism, accompanied by Eduardo Calderon, the chancellery’s director for Asia Affairs.
