Hanoi : Top leaders from the Vietnam Communist Party (PCV) and its Russian counterpart (PCFR) declared themselves in favor of the development and strengthening of relations.
Truong Tan Sang, member of the Political Bureau and PCV Secretariat received the secretary of PCFR Central Committee Dimitri Novikov who expressed his determination to strengthen ties with their traditional friends.
Sang reiterated the deep gratitude for the aid given by the former Soviet Union, in the national liberation wars and the reconstruction works of the Vietnamese nation.
