Pakistani PM condemns Afghan president”s statements

Islamabad : Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raaza Gilani strongly condemned on Wednesday statement’s by Afghan President Hamid Karzai’s statement over Pakistan’s alleged involvement in terrorist attacks in Afghanistan, saying this could hamper the development process in the region.

Pakistan declared that a stable Afghanistan was in the interest of Islamabad and the entire region, said the premier in a statement.

He said Pakistan provided support for the establishment of stable government in Afghanistan.

On Monday, Karzai’s government directly accused Pakistan’s intelligence agency of being behind a recent series of attacks by Taliban militants that has killed scores of people.

He also blamed the Pakistani army for the increasing instability in Afghanistan and that the agency ISA and Pakistan’s army have continued to interfere in Afghanistan’s internal affairs.
