Tirupur (Tamil Nadu) : The Income Tax authorities raided the residence and 14 business premises here of V. Palanisamy, a former AIADMK legislator, and seized documents relating to assets and investments worth over Rs.200 million, officials said here Friday.
The raids were conducted Thursday at several establishments owned by Palanisamy, including hosiery units and real estate offices, said a senior official of the regional income tax department headquarters at Chennai.
Fifty-two-year old Palanisamy represented Tirupur Assembly segment 1991-96.
