Activists lament ‘poor implementation’ of RTI Act

New Delhi : Nearly 150 Right to Information (RTI) activists from various states met at the Gandhi Peace Foundation here Monday to discuss the “poor implementation” of the act in the country.

“Nearly 150 activists from 21 states met today (Monday) and discussed the poor implementation of RTI Act across the country,” said activist Manish Sisodia.

The common complaint of all activists was about the work of information commissioners.

“The activists complained that the information commissioners of most commissions are not implementing the RTI Act properly and are very lenient towards the government officials,” Sisodia added.
