Baghdad : The Multi-National Force (MNF) has announced the death of three marines during an incident in northern Baghdad.
An MNF statement said that the soldiers were killed as a result of a small-arms fire attack in Al-Hawijah near Kirkuk on Wednesday.
With the new causalities, the MNF has lost 4,090 soldiers since the beginning of operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003.
Six MNF soldiers have died during the first four days of June.
