US Justifying Pakistani Army Attack

By Prensa Latina,

Islamabad : The US command headquarters in Afghanistan spread a video in Kabul in which it hopes to justify an air raid against a Pakistani military installation that killed 11 soldiers.

The event occurred Wednesday when missiles launched from the Afghanistan International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) led by NATO and US hit a Pakistani control post in Mohmand northern tribal district.

The Pakistan army called the aggression “cowardly” after it destroyed Gora Prai border control post in the northeastern border province.

“This type of aggression does not contribute to the common case of fighting terrorism,” noted a communiqué from the Pakistani military command.

The images spread by the Pentagon taken by a pilotless plane clearly show how four guided missiles fall over a group of men in Pakistani territory considered anti afghan elements.

The US State Department commented that it regretted Pakistani human life loses and its ambassador in Islamabad Anne Patterson has received strong condemnation from the Pakistani government.

This is the most serious episode since Pakistan allied itself with US in its so-called war against terrorism late in October 2001 after the invasion of Afghanistan.
