Riyadh : UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon held talks in Jeddah with King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia on the Palestinian cause and the Middle East peace process in general.
The talks were held on Saturday.
Both men discussed the situations in Iraq, Lebanon, Sudan and Somalia, according to state-run news agency (SPA).
Ban and King Abdullah also discussed the UN’s role to finding appropriate solutions for conflicts in the region, added SPA.
Ban, who arrived earlier Saturday, appreciated Saudi Arabia’s contributions to backing the UN efforts and the relief operations worldwide, namely the recent financial aid to the World Food Program (WFP), said SPA.
