New Delhi : As reports of ill-treatment of Indian migrant workers continue to come in, issues related to legal protection of such workers are likely to be discussed by experts from Asia and Africa at a conference here from tomorrow.
Issues related to international terrorism, human rights in Islam, law of the sea and the International Law Commission are also likely to be taken up for discussion at the five-day 47th annual session of Asian-African Legal Consultative Organisation (AALCO), to be inaugurated by Law minister H R Bhardwaj.
Legal protection of migrant workers and establishing co-operation against trafficking would also be in focus during the deliberations.
A new secretary-general for AALCO, from among representatives from Pakistan, Malaysia and Iran, is also going to be elected at the session.
