Thiruvananthapuram : Kerala will host the 35th National Games in 2009 in three cities and the opening and closing ceremony will be held in the state capital, Kerala Sports Minister M. Vijayakumar said here Sunday.
“This was decided last evening and I am making this announcement for the first time in this meeting,” said Vijayakumar while addressing a public meeting here.
Kerala Sports Council president T.P.Dasan said that the exact dates of the event were yet to be finalized.
“Given the interest that Keralites have in National Games, we have decided to have the events spread out to Kochi and Kozhikode besides here. The events and other details are to be worked out,” said Dasan.
