Ramallah : At least one Palestinian lost his life on Monday in clashes between Israeli troops and Arab natives of the West Bank protesting deadly Israeli escalation of attacks over the past two days.
Medical sources said Mohammad Shuraiteh, 18, was killed with Israeli gunfire that hit his head in Al-Mazraa village near Ramallah. The young man was killed when Israeli troops opened fire at a group of Palestinians demonstrating against wide-scale Israeli attacks over the past days that claimed more than 100 lives including children, elderly and women.
Witnesses said the Palestinian was shot after a Jewish settler participating in the confrontation against the demonstrators attacked. The settler’s car was targeted was stones hurled by the angry protestors.
In Bethlehem, two Palestinians were wounded in the clashes that erupted in identical circumstances. Four others were wounded in the town of Amer near Hebron in south of the West Bank. They were injured when Israeli troops opened fire at Palestinian protestors.
