New Delhi: The All India Milli Council (AIMC) has urged the Central government to restrain police and intelligence agencies from going public with un¬substantiated claims about the involvement of Muslims in each act of terror.
In a statement, AIMC said there was a growing tendency to blame Muslims for all acts of terror. Citing the Chhattisingpura massacre – where the police claim was proved wrong – the Council said Muslims were being blamed even when their plac¬es of worship were attacked. In that massacre, around 40 people were killed. Referring to the Tenkasi and Ghatkopar bomb blast cases, the organization urged the Centre to ask state go¬vernments to review their line of investigation they took following any terrorist attack.
