Bhopal: The Managing Director of Madhya Pradesh Khadi and Gramodyog Board Ashok Narohna has been suspended with immediate effect on the instructions of Minister of State for Rural Industries Karan Singh Verma.
According to an official Press release the Managing Director was facing the charges of irregularities detected in Kambal Kendra, Mandsaur, failure to initiate early and effective action against incharge of Kambal Kendra and lax control. Besides, disciplinary action is proposed against the Managing Director on serious complaints. He has been suspended with immediate effect under MP Civil Service (categorisation, control and appeal) Rules.
Narohna’s original post was Additional Managing Director, MP Laghu Udyog Nigam. He was posted on deputation as Managing Director of MP Khadi and Gramodyog Board under Gramodyog Department.
It may be mentioned here that during the discussion on the issue in Vidhan Sabha, Minister of State for Rural Industries, Karan Singh Verma had announced Narohna’s suspension. Orders in compliance of that announcement have been issued today. In this connection, Kambal Kendra, Mandsaur’s incharge Gopal Bagherwal has already been suspended. ([email protected])
