Beijing : The local management of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) Wednesday announced cut in its Beijing-Pakistan-Beijing sectors effective from March 18.
According to the General Manager of the PIA Syed Ishaq Hussain, the new fair for one way from Beijing to Pakistan has now been fixed as RMB 3500 (without government taxes).
He said that for round trip the down-ward revised fair will be RMB 5950 (excluding government taxes).
Syed Ishaq Hussain expressed the determination that the new fair would help Pakistani as well as Chinese, particularly the businessmen and traders to avail the facility offered by PIA and, counter the competition offered by other carriers. This step was necessary to increase the traffic in current low season.
He pointed out that inspite of the fact the fuel charges in the international market climbed to over US$ 100 per barrel, the management of the PIA Head office took the bold decision by cutting fares for this important sector to generate maximum business.
