Israel Radio said Wednesday morning that the meeting will discuss measures to ease closure on the Palestinians in the West Bank and the US plan to train several hundreds of Palestinian policemen in Jordan.

According to the plan, 600 policemen will be trained in Jordan then deployed in Jenin, it added.

Israel had set up hundreds of barriers in the West Bank.

The Israeli media quoted Barak as saying two days ago that an Israeli Army barrier in the West Bank will be removed and an approval to establish an industrial area in Tarkomia town in the West Bank will also be granted.

The radio also said that Palestinian security authorities will soon receive Russian-made armoured vehicles that Israel agreed to transfer to the West Bank.

Meanwhile, US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is set to visit the Middle East next week to hold talks with Israeli and Palestinian officials on the peace process.
