Tripoli : The UAE and Libya signed Wednesday an air transport agreement to boost economic and commercial cooperation.
The agreement was signed at the conclusion of a visit to Libya by a UAE civil aviation delegation.
The two sides also inked a Memorandum of Understanding which will give Etihad Airways the right to run 21 flights to three Libyan airports of Tripoli, Benghazi and Sabha as of winter 2010 while Emirates Airline will operate 28 flights to Libya as of winter 2009.
Air Arabia and Ras Al Khaimah Airline were also considered as UAE national air carriers.
