Over 15 killed in missile attack on Pakistani tribal agency

Islamabad : At least 15 people, including women, were killed in a missile attack on a house in Pakistani a tribal agency bordering Afghanistan, said officials on Thursday.

Two guided missiles, believed to have been fired by a US drone, hit the house Mullah Obaidullah in Damadola area of Bajaur tribal agency late Wednesday night, security and tribal sources told KUNA.

They said the attack killed at least 15 persons, including the brother of Mullah Obaidullah, who reportedly had links with Taliban militants.

Tribal sources said after the attack, US planes were seen hovering over the area, adding that the missiles completely destroyed the house.

Military spokesman, Ather Abbass, confirmed the incident but had no information whether it was a bomb or a missile attack.
