Explosion targets fast food restaurant in Gaza Strip — sources

By KUNA,

Gaza : A huge explosion targeted on Sunday at dawn a fast food restaurant, located near Gaza’s Al-Azhar University.

According to Palestinian security sources, the explosion caused by the detonation of an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) was the work of unknown gunmen near the restaurant’s front door.

The blast caused severe material damage, they said.

The explosion, the second of its kind in three days, claimed no lives.

A similar explosion occurred last Friday at dawn, targeting a Christian school in southern Gaza Strip. No parties have claimed responsibility for that attack yet.

Gaza Strip was the scene of constant attacks and explosions over the past few months, targeting public facilities such as internet cafes and video stores.
