After three days of talks they arrived to an agreement in Qatar capital by supporters of Saad Hariri deputy from the Future Movement and representatives of the opposition represented by God’s Party (Hizbala).

According to reliable sources the agreement paves the way for electing General Michel Suleiman, current chief of the armed forces, as President of the country, which will seal one of the fractures that gave way to the crisis.

Since late in November the Lebanese institutional structure is suffering an absence of Head of State after Emile Lahoud finished his term of office and left the post.

According to the president of the Lebanese parliament Nabih Berri , Suleiman will be elected for that post this week.
