African Minister VS US anti-Cuba Blockade

Havana : Guinea Bissau Culture, Youth and Sports Minister Maria Aduatu Djalo Nandingna, rejected and urged the immediate end of the US blockade of Cuba.

On behalf of the African peoples, Djalo Nandingna reminded at the 19th Festival of African Roots Wemilere, in Guanabacoa, Havana, that none country has ever endured such a long hounding.

Minister Nandingna voiced satisfaction and appreciation for the place of African roots within Cuban culture, pillar of friendship among the peoples of Africa and Cuba.

Among the most attractive events of the opening were a painting display on Africa, a culinary contest and a show.

On Wednesday and among other, Egyptian lecturers will lead the conference “Presence”, on the life and work of 1988 Nobel Literary Awardee novelist Naguih Mahfouz.

This festival edition honors the countries members of the Economic Community of Western Africa and promotes the values and heritage of the peoples from both continents.
