Islamabad : A team made up of 28 Pakistani doctors and nurses traveled from this capital to the Gansu province in China, which was affected by the May 12 earthquake.
In declarations to the press Information and broadcasting minister Sherry Rehman explained that the mission will help with emergency medical activities in the Chinese areas affected by the earthquake.
The minister said that Pakistan previously sent material aid and is also able to contribute with more if the Chinese government needs it.
Luo appreciated the Pakistani government and people for this expression of solidarity besides sending other loads of human material to China.
The Chinese diplomat expressed gratitude for the donation of over 22,000 tents and received with satisfaction the decision of sending the medical team to collaborate in rehabilitation activities.
