By NNN-APP,

Mumbai : The Indian army commandos on Saturday morning took control of the last resisting pocket, Taj hotel where three terrorists were killed.

NSG Director General J K Dutt while talking to mediapersons in Mumbai said the operation to flush out terrorists from Taj Hotel is over.

Three terrorists have been killed. However, room to room search is continuing if there is any terrorist still hiding in the building.

Media reports quoting him said terrorists used grenades and explosives during fighting with commandos.

Dutt said the terrorists would set afire the hotel rooms whenever they came under attack from the commandos.

The commandos are also looking for any surviving guests, who are still locked up in rooms and not coming out for fear of terrorist attack.

The commandos had already secured Oberoi hotel and a Jewish Centre on Friday.

The reports said 160 persons including 16 security personnel were killed in the fighting which ended Saturday morning after 62 hours. Eleven terrorists were also killed and one was injured, officials said.

Media reports quoting Police Commissioner Hassan Gaffoor said over 10 terrorists were holed up in the three buildings—Taj, Oberoi‑Trident and Nariman House in the South Mumbai. Nine of them killed and one captured.

The Terror stricken Mumbai is limping back to normalcy, though the people opted to stay inside their houses due to fear.
