Tehran : Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki by referring to Iran’s constructive role in solving regional crises, especially compromise between Lebanese sides in Doha meeting and developments in Caucasus said Iran intends to solve disputes and create peace and stability in the region.
According to the report of Foreign Ministry Media Department on Monday, Mottaki in a meeting with Greek Foreign Ministry Secretary General Aristidis Akatouklis, by expounding deep historical and cultural ties between the two countries, said, “Such ties is a good foundation for creating an appropriate bilateral cooperation.”
“Multilateral consultations and cooperation between Iran, Greece and Armenia, in the past, were a good opportunity for joint projects in the frameworks of national interests of the three countries.”
The two sides also discussed ways to consolidate bilateral ties, international and regional issues.
The Greek diplomat, for his part, by referring to his useful and constructive talks with his Iranian counterpart said, “Iran and Greece have different potentials for developing relations and in this concern we believe we are able to reach to good understandings.”
