Dhaka, Bangladesh : Adviser for Law, Justice and Parliament Affairs of Bangladesh caretaker government Hassan Ariff said, the upcoming parliament elections would be held in scheduled time and all necessary preparations have already been taken in this regard.
” There is no doubt about holding elections,” he told reporters on Sunday at secretariat replying to a number of queries related to the objection of main political parties about holding elections under emergency.
Adviser Dr Hossain Zillur Rahman added, ” We should not have any tension regarding the upcoming general elections. All of us should work together as only three months remaining for the polls,”.
Earlier, five advisers discussed the latest political situation at the office of Communications Adviser Major General (retd) Golam Quader. Education Adviser Dr Hossain Zillur Rahman, Law Adviser Hassan Ariff, LGRD Adviser Anwarul Iqbal and Cultural Affairs Adviser Rasheda K Choudhury attended the meeting.
Later, in his office, Dr Zillur said, the government is taking all preparations for holding national elections. We are aware about our responsibility and will utilize it cent percent, he added.
