Foreign Ministers of Pakistan and Afghanistan meet to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral relations

Islamabad : Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Thursday met Dr. Rangin Dadfar Spanta, Foreign Minister of Afghanistan in New York and discussed with him ways to strenghten bilateral relations.

Qureshi, who is visiting New York in connection with the 63rd UNGA Session, strongly condemned the kidnapping of Afghan diplomat in Peshawar and assured Dr. Spanta that Pakistan was making every effort for his early recovery.

The two foreign ministers, terming terrorism as a common challange, reiterated their resolve to jointly fight extremists along Pakistan-Afghanistan border.
