Accidental blast in army firing range injures three

Jammu: Three children were injured in an accidental blast near an army firing range close to the India-Pakistan border in Jammu and Kashmir, police said.

The children, all of them rag-pickers, had gone to collect waste metal from the firing range in the Khour area, about 50 km west of Jammu.

“A live bomb went off injuring these three children in the age group of 11-15 years,” a police officer said.

The injured children were taken to a Jammu hospital.
