Ranchi : A villager was killed and a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) trooper injured in a Maoist attack on the outskirts of this Jharkhand capital, police said Wednesday.
Around 100 Maoist rebels attacked a police picket in Bundu block on the outskirts here late Tuesday. “The guerrillas and security personnel were in a fire fight for nearly three hours,” a police officer said.
“In the cross fire, a villager was killed and one CRPF jawan was injured. The injured CRPF jawan has been admitted to Apollo hospital here,” the officer said.
