Amman : Jordan on Friday strongly condemned Israel’s action to target mosques in the Gaza Strip, a senior official said.
Israel’s behavior constitutes flagrant violation of the sanctity of mosques and places of worship, which is protected by all the laws and relevant international conventions, said Minister of State for Information Affairs and Communication Nasser Judeh.
Jordan does not accept such behavior and totally rejects them, Judeh added, noting the necessity to stop all Israeli acts of aggression against the Palestinian people in Gaza.
Israel has been carrying out unprecedented and intensive airstrikes on the Gaza Strip since last Saturday, leaving 432 people killed and some 2200 wounded, and destroying Hamas buildings, houses and mosques.
