Lucknow : A 15-year-old Dalit girl was allegedly abducted and raped by four men in an Uttar Pradesh village, the police said Thursday.
The victim, a maidservant, was returning home from work Wednesday evening when the accused stopped her near Katra village in Basti district, some 250 km from here, police inspector Manoj Singh told IANS.
“The four men intercepted the girl while she was returning from work. They took her to a secluded place where they raped her,” Singh said.
The girl narrated the incident to her parents.
A case has been registered in the Katra police station. “The girl has been sent for medical examinations. We are waiting for the medical reports,” said Singh
The police are yet to make any arrest.
