Bhopal: The Council for Islamic Literature (Majlise-e-Adab-e-Islami) is organizing 8th All India seminar on “Literary pursuits & samples of Islamic literature of Madhya Pradesh’s Ulema, Litterateurs & Sufis” here on February 1 (Sunday).
According to Dr. Mohammad Arif Junaid Khan Nadwi, general secretary, Council for Islamic Literature, the seminar will be presided over by Maulana Mohammad Saeed Sahab Mujaddadi, Rector Dar-ul-Uloom Taj-ul-Masajid. The seminar would be held in Allama Syed Sulaiman Nadwi Library hall in the Taj-ul-Masajid Campus.
There will be three sessions in the seminar. The inaugural session of the seminar would commence at 10 a.m. Thereafter, Islamic scholars would present their papers from 11 a.m. onwards. After lunch break at 1 p.m. the second session would be held from 2.15 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. The third and last session would be held after Maghrib (6.30 pm) to Isha prayers (8 pm).
Scholars from various universities and Islamic seminaries such as Lucknow, Aligarh and other cities of the country along with from all over Madhya Pradesh would be reading their research papers in the seminar, Dr. Arif said.
Dr. Arif said the subject title of the seminar “Literary pursuits & samples of Islamic literature of Madhya Pradesh’s Ulema, Litterateurs & Sufis” has been divided into six sub-titles. They are: (i) Literary works of Ulema, (ii) Literary works of the rulers of Bhopal state, (iii) Litterateurs and Islamic scholars’ connection with Bhopal, (iv) Literary works of litterateurs of Madhya Pradesh, (v) Literary centres of Madhya Pradesh and their literary activities and (vi) Literary works of Sufis of Madhya Pradesh.
It may be mentioned here that the Council for Islamic Literature (Majlise-e-Adab-e-Islami), which is the Madhya Pradesh unit of Aalami Rabta-e-Adab-e-Islami, is working for last so many years and has conducted many seminars for the promotion of constructive literature.
The main objective of the Aalami Rabta-e-Adab-e-Islami, is to promote Islamic constructive and reformative literature in the face of destructive literature prevalent all over so that humanity at large could be guided in the right direction. ([email protected])
