Candidate in Jharkhand selection exam scores over 12 out of 11

By IANS,

Ranchi : The Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) Tuesday announced that it will probe the scoring of over 100 percent marks by a candidate in an examination for selection of government school teachers.

Over 347 teachers were selected after the examination, the results of which were declared last week.

One of those selected, Arvind Kumar Dagi, secured 12 marks in the geography paper, where the maximum marks were supposed to be 11. His marksheet was published in several local newspapers.

JPSC officials said many examinees have complained of irregularities.

Reacting to the controversy, JPSC chairman Dileep Kumar Prasad told reporters: “We have received complaints regarding marks. We will investigate the issue. We have asked examinees facing such problems to approach the commission.”
