Tehran : Lebanese researcher and thinker Efaf Hakim said when the occupying regime of al-Qods is committing crimes against oppressed Palestinian people, Islamic unity is a tool to resist against the enemies of Islam.
Hakim, who was speaking in the second day of the 22nd International Conference for Islamic Unity, presented his article titled “ Islamic unity, prejudice and religious radicalism” in which he discusssed current problems and challenges of the Islamic world.
Referring to the Zionist regime crimes against Palestinian, Hakim said the Muslims have a great responsibility to create unity among the Islamic umma.
He underlined that Islamic unity is one of the necessary tools for resisting against enemies.
The Lebanese researcher called dogmatism as the most important crisis of Islamic umma and added it follows war and conflicts and in this concern western media introduce Islam as a radical and harsh ideology.
The 22nd International Conference of Islamic Unity started its work here on March 13 and lasts until March 15, 2009.
