Ghaziabad: The autopsy of an industrialist’s wife who was killed here earlier this week by robbers has revealed that she was murdered with a drilling machine, police said Thursday.
Urmila, 55, wife of Sarvish Dadu, owner of the Noida-based Mayur Cables Ltd was murdered Monday and their house in Modinagar in Ghaziabad robbed of jewellery and valuables worth Rs.20 lakh, police said.
The post mortem examination report has revealed that there were 16 drill holes on the victim’s body. A saw had been used to prise out her ear rings, police added.
At the time of the incident, Dadu and his son Rakesh had gone to work. Rakesh’s wife Shalu was on the first floor of the house.
“We have taken all possible forensic material from the spot,” a police officer said.
