Bangladesh President foe maintaining congenial atmosphere in universities

Dhaka, Bangladesh : President Zillur Rahman today urged upon all concerned to maintain congenial atmosphere at the higher educational institutes in the greater interest of the country.

The President made this call while a two-member delegation of Jahangirnagar University (JU) led by its Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Sharif Enamul Kabir called on him at Bangabhaban here.

The JU delegation invited the President, who is Chancellor of the university to preside over its fourth Convocation and confer degrees to the graduates.

The Convocation of Jahangirnagar University will be held on January 30, next year.

President Zillur Rahman gave the delegation his consent to attend the programme.

Mentioning that the present government gave top priority to ensure quality education, the President urged the delegation to put their highest efforts in this regards.

He expressed his satisfaction knowing that presently an education friendly atmosphere is prevailing at the Jahangir Nagar
campus.

Secretary of the President’s Office Safiul Alam, Military Secretary to the President Major General Abul Kalam Md Humayun Kabir and Press Secretary to the President Abdul Awal Howlader were also present during the meeting.
