New Delhi : Condemning the suicide bombing outside the Indian embassy in Kabul, the Congress party Thursday said such incidents would hamper the reconstruction process in strife-torn Afghanistan.
“Such attacks are unfortunate, they should be condemned by the international community,” Congress spokesperson Shakeel Ahmad told IANS.
He said such blasts “will hamper the process of reconstruction” in the country at a time it was “trying to get back on the track of peace, progress and prosperity”.
Twelve people were killed and scores, including some Indians, injured in the terror attack Thursday morning.
On July 7 last year, 44 people, including two high-ranking Indian embassy officials, were killed in the suicide attack at the Indian embassy that also wounded 147 people. The attack had marked the deadliest suicide bombing since the fall of Taliban regime in 2001.
