Chandigarh: The management of Indian Premier League (IPL)’s Kings XI Punjab Tuesday said that star player Yuvraj Singh is an integral part of the team and is not leaving it.
“Yuvraj is an integral part of Kings XI Punjab. We are happy that he would like to stay with our team,” said Anil Srivatsa, chief executive officer of the team in a statement issued here Tuesday evening.
He added, “Yuvraj is a valuable player and he has contributed immensely to the team’s performances in all the three seasons of IPL.”
Yuvraj Singh, who had led Kings XI Punjab in the first two editions of IPL, was replaced by Sri Lankan Kumara Sangakkara before the start of IPL-III.
Kings XI Punjab are almost out of the race for a semi-final birth with only four wins in 12 matches so far.
