Shoe again hurled at Haryana chief minister

Hisar (Haryana): A man hurled a shoe at Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda at a public rally here Sunday after being refused permission to meet him, police said. This is the second time in four months that such an incident has happened.

“We have detained Ajit Singh and our investigation is on. He said that he wanted to meet the chief minister but security personnel did not let him,” a police officer said.

Ajit is a resident of Kirmara village here, he added.

However, the shoe did not hit Hooda as it fell near the stage.

This was the second time in the last four months that Hooda has been the target of a shoe attack. On Aug 22, a jobless youth had hurled a shoe at him during a rally in Mahendergarh town.
