New Delhi: The newly elected national president of Students Islamic Organisation of India, Mohammed Azharuddin has called on the members of the pan-India youth group to come out of their fold and be productive for the society. He made appeal in his first address after getting elected.
“Don’t just exist, but be productive so that the society benefits from you,”, said Azharuddin at his first address in Aurangabad, Maharashtra after being elected. The new leadership of SIO was elected by the electorate consisting of Zonal Advisory Council Members and Zonal Representatives from across the country.
Addressing the gathering in Aurangabad, he called upon the cadre to strengthen themselves intellectually to fight against the cultural & civilization attacks and to focus on self-development.
According to outgoing Public Relation Secretary, Shahnawaz Ali Raihan, Mohammed Azharuddin (MA, M.Phil. in Economics) from Maharashtra has been elected President of SIO for the term 2011-12. He will succeed Suhail K K. P.M. Salih will be General Secretary.
The other members of the Central Secretariat for the term 2011-12 are: Shoukat Ali,(Karnataka) as Secretary, Campus; Arshad Hussain, (Gujarat) as Secretary- Organisation; Sharique Ansar, (Jharkhand) as Secretary-Expansion and Shaikh Shoaib, (Goa) as Secretary-Public Relation.
Members of Central Advisory Council (CAC) are: Shibli Arsalan, Bihar; Shahanawaz Ali Raihan, West Bengal; Omair Anas, Delhi; Khan Yasir, Delhi; Ansar Aboobacker, Aligarh; Syed Musab Iqbal, Bangalore; Shoukat Ali, Karnataka; Mohammed Bilal, Karnataka; Mujahidul Islam, Karnataka; Syed Arif Ali, Rajasthan; Atif Ismail, Andhra Pradesh; Syed Sibgatullah Hussaini, Andhra Pradesh; Fazlur Rehman, Andhra Pradesh; P.K.
